3rd Annual City Of Angeles Half Marathon

General Info
The 3rd Annual City of Angels Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2008. For additional half marathon route details please visit www.cityofangelshalf.com .

In order to secure the course, street closures by the Department of Transportation will begin as early as 4:15 AM. The following information outlines the race route and estimated reopening times for each area.

Griffith Park will be closed at Zoo Dr and Western Heritage Way to Los Feliz Bl. Additionally, portions of the Bike Path along the LA River will also be closed for the race. The Griffith Park area is estimated to reopen at 10:15 AM.

Los Feliz area street closures begin at Riverside Dr from Los Feliz Bl to Glendale Bl; Glendale Bl from Riverside Dr to Glenhurst Av; Hyperion Bridge to Rowena Av; Rowena Av from Hyperion Av to Silver Lake Dr. The Los Feliz area is estimated to reopen at 10:45 AM.

Silver Lake area closures begin at Silver Lake Dr from Rowena Av to Reservoir St; Reservoir St from Silver Lake Dr to Sunset Bl. The Silver Lake Area is expected to reopen at 11:15AM.

Echo Park / Downtown area closures begin at Sunset Bl from Silver Lake Dr to Logan St; Logan St from Sunset Bl to Park Av; Bellevue Av from Glendale Bl to Edgeware Rd; Edgeware Rd from Bellevue Av to Temple St; Temple St from Edgeware Rd to Figueroa St; Figueroa St from Cesar Chavez Av to 2nd St Tunnel; 2nd St Tunnel from Figueroa St to Hill St; Hill St from 2nd St to 1st St. The Echo Park / Downtown Area is expected to reopen by 12:30PM with the exception of Hill St from 1st St to Temple St which is expected to reopen by 1:30PM.

If there is any chance of rain on the day of the event, LA County Flood Control officials may deem it necessary to shut down the Bike Path along the LA River. LADOT will implement contigency closures in the Los Feliz Area. Re-opening times remain the same as previously stated.
